Students at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo line up for a screening of “The Coddling of the American Mind” movie.

Screening problematic films on college campuses can deliver great rewards and great frustrations.

But there are times when everything comes together. Last week’s screening at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo was one of those times: 150 undergrads packed a screening room to capacity to watch The Coddling of the American Mind!

This happened on a Friday night!

Courtney and I and all of Team Coddling Movie are grateful to our hosts—three professors who knocked it out of the park: Chris Carr, Brian Kennelly, and Jenn Yost!

Not only did they put on an excellent event, they documented it with photos and videos.

Every time I get depressed about the state of American higher ed, I’m going to take another look at these images of Gen Zers waiting in a long, winding line, waving, and giving “thumbs up.”

We are grateful to all our subscribers, and this post is a special thanks to our paid subscribers who help support our nationwide tour and other parts of our nonprofit Impact Campaign.

If you’d like to help bring “The Coddling” movie to students and enjoy special perks like bonus content and free tickets to special events (like our April 18 evening with Jonathan Haidt), please consider becoming a paid subscriber.
